Administrative Reshuffle in UP: 16 IAS, 11 IPS Reassigned, Ayodhya Leads 6 DM Changes

Up News. The Uttar Pradesh government has recently transferred 16 IAS officers and 11 IPS officers with the objective of accelerating administrative reforms and development projects. Through these reshuffle, new officers have been appointed to many important posts. The purpose of this step is to make the administration of the state more effective.

District Magistrate

Ayodhya: Nikhil Tikram Funde has been appointed as District Magistrate. He will replace Chandra Vijay Singh, who has been appointed as Special Secretary in the infrastructure and Industrial Development Department.Uttar Pradesh government has recently appointed new District Magistrates in many districts. Under these appointments, the following officers will take over their new posts:

DM level transfers in UP, many districts got new District Magistrates

• The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred the administrative reshuffle and transferred the District Magistrates of many districts. Under this, Amethi, Badaun, Etawah and Kannauj have got new DMs.
• Sanjay Chauhan has been appointed as the new District Magistrate in Amethi. He will replace the current DM Nisha Anant.
• The responsibility of the District Magistrate of Badaun has now been entrusted to Avnish Kumar Rai.
• Shubhant Kumar Shukla will now command the administration of Etawah district.
• Ashutosh Mohan Agnihotri has been made the new District Magistrate in Kannauj.
• This step of the government is considered to be a step taken towards strengthening the administrative system

Municipal commissioner and other important appointments

• Prayagraj: Salem Sai Teja has been appointed as Municipal Corporation Commissioner.
• The Mission Director of the National AYUSH Mission: Dishvishtha has been appointed to this important post.
• Chief Development Officer of Jaunpur: Mrinali Avinash Joshi has been appointed.
• Chief Development Officer: Kandarkar Kamalkishore Deshbhushan has been appointed as Chief Development Officer.
• Special Secretary in Energy Department: Rajkumar of Muzaffarnagar has been made Special Secretary in the Department of Energy.

Pre -appointments and administrative reforms

Earlier, on 15 April 2025, the Uttar Pradesh government transferred nine senior IAS officers. Among them, IAS Sameer Verma was appointed as IG Registration, IAS Pramod Kumar Upadhyay as Chinese Commissioner and IAS Dr. Heera Lal as Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperative Societies. It is clear from all these transfers that the Government of Uttar Pradesh is committed to giving impetus to administrative reforms and development projects. This step ensures that the governance in the state is more effective and transparent.
